I provide technical translations in other language pairs on request, working with trusted translators. I review every translation and apply my usual quality-control process.
The workflow includes text extraction and segmentation, translation, two proofreading passes, and in-depth quality control (with specific checks for patent claims). I clarify any questions or uncertainties with you at an early stage. You receive formatted documents ready for publication or filing, including translation notes when appropriate. Glossaries and translation memories are provided on request.
Translation rates
A straightforward pricing per source language word allows you to know your translation costs in advance.
Pricing may vary according to work volume, lead time and formatting complexity. Additional work is charged per hour.
Delivery times
Translation output: approximately 2,000 words per working day.

About
I am a Belgian engineer with degrees in bio-engineering and electromechanics, educated in French and Dutch. I began my career as a project engineer in water treatment and distribution. From June 2001 to October 2002 I was a patent examiner at the European Patent Office in The Hague. After the initial training, I carried out patent search and substantive examination on applications in surgery and therapy, including heating and cooling, laser, ultrasound and stereotactic devices. I carried out my work in all three official languages of the EPO: English, German and French.
In 2003, I founded my patent and technical translation business, based in Spain. With over twenty years of experience, I combine engineering expertise with an examiner's eye for precision, so that your translations are accurate, consistent and ready for use in the industry or in patent proceedings.
